On a cold, rainy Sunday, we fell 2–1 to Titanite Old Stars in a match where the scoreline told only part of the story.
Titanite struck twice through Emiliyan Stefanov in the 35th and 43rd minutes, putting us under pressure before halftime. We responded immediately, with Emil Baikoushev pulling one back in the 44th minute and giving us the belief to push for more.
Throughout the whole game, we dominated, creating chance after chance and controlling the tempo. The post and more than ten fantastic saves from the opposition denied us what felt like a deserved result.
The closest moment came in our final attack, when Baikoushev met the ball with a left-foot volley that seemed destined for the net—only for a defender to block it right on the goal line.
It simply wasn’t our day. Luck wasn’t on our side, and despite a strong performance, we were left without the points.
This was our 9th match against Titanite Old Stars. We share 4 victories each and 1 draw.
