We secured an important 5:3 victory over Zlatnite Momcheta in a match defined by intensity, momentum swings, and a decisive second-half response.
We started the game strongly and took control early, with Alexander Troev opening the scoring in the 3rd minute, followed shortly by Emil Baikoushev doubling our lead in the 4th. At 2:0, we looked composed and in control, dictating the tempo and creating pressure from the opening minutes.
However, the opposition responded quickly. Zlatnite Momcheta managed equalize within a short period, scoring twice to make the score 2:2. It was a difficult phase for us, where we lost defensive balance and allowed the momentum to shift.
Our response came right after halftime. Mario Stoev, on his debut, stepped up and scored his debut goal in the 30th minute, making it 3:2 and restoring belief within the team. That goal proved crucial, both tactically and psychologically, as it stopped the opponent’s momentum and brought us back into the game. Two minutes later, the score was 3:3 …
That is when teamplay came into action. We started passing the ball around more and more often, making it impossible for our opponents to stop us without committing fouls.
Emil Baikoushev delivered a decisive performance, scoring twice in quick succession in the 47th and 48th minutes to complete his hat-trick and turn the game firmly in our favor. His ability to be in the right place at the right time, combined with the one to deliver in key moments made the difference when it mattered most.
We controlled the remainder of the match with greater discipline, limiting risks and managing the game effectively until the final whistle.
The match also marked the debuts of Mario Stoev and Radoslav Stefanov, both integrating well into the squad and contributing to the team’s overall balance and depth. Stoev got 1 goal and 2 assists, making it one of the most impressive debuts in FC Dynamite’s history.
In the end, this was a victory built on character and response. After being equalized twice and losing a 2:0 lead, we showed resilience, regained control, and delivered when it mattered most – a performance that reflects the mentality and quality within the team.
